A Marine.
A Scholar.
A Storyteller.
From the battlefields of World War II to the shadowy courthouses of Miami, from the archives of the Civil War South to the UFOs of 1950s Alabama—Robert Willis crafts novels of justice, revenge, history, and the human heart.
Meet Robert Willis
Robert Willis served in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He attended several colleges before earning his PhD in Educational Research and Measurement from Florida State University.
Today, Robert and his wife, Carole, reside alone now in Bagdad, Florida. No dogs, no cats. She fishes, he writes.
His stories are rooted in the hardboiled tradition of noir fiction, blending mystery, romance, adventure, and a deep sense of place—from the Caribbean to the American South. Crossing Clayborn is his first published novel.
